      Hi everyone,

I want to connect my PG Bias power head to various cabinets, safely.

Just wanting to know what would be the total minimum speaker wattage required? As the head provides 600 watts @ 8 ohms, does that mean I need at least 600w worth of speakers? seems pretty unrealistic given the majority of 4x12s top out around 300w or less.

Any help here would be appreciated as I've contacted PG via email and they are hopeless and can't seem to provide me with a simple straight answer.

@josh_j_howe I have been watching a guy on youtube who uses a 44magnum electrox power pedal an he is doing exactly what you want to do. The pedal is a good $170 everywhere i looked.

Sorry but I don't see how this helps. Did you understand the question?

Hi If you check your power amp board you will find it's rated around 500W (I can't remember the Icepower module number but it is the one lower than what Kemper use which is 600W/4 ohm )
Most Class D power amps like to quote Wattage into 4 ohms (IMHO) because it looks 'big'
I run my Bias Head 2 into a 1x12" 8 ohm 100W Jensen Alnico and crank it with no probs.
I don't hear reports of many Class D amps blowing speakers in guitar amp applications but others may weigh in on other experiences..
                Hope this helps

It's easy to feel that way...until you try to pull out a single sheet pan and a bunch of other metal lids and pots crash together. Even if you don't have a ton of storage space, you can help your kitchen live up to its full potential with the right cabinet organization tricks.
