Bias FX 2 on hardware amps
-
So, I am sick and tired of the latency I get when using BIAS FX 2 Stand-alone version through my Scarlett Focusrite Solo and a 64bit Laptop PC. So I am considering switching to one of Positive Grid's hardware amps instead. From what I can see the different hardware amps support BIAS Amp software only, but not BIAS FX 2. Is that really so? Or is there a way to utilize BIAS FX 2 with either Bias Head, Bias Mini or Bias Rack? Cheers from Denmark, Rune

Sadly FX2 does not directly link to the bias hardware amps and/or bias effect pedals directly using Bluetooth etc.
Bias Amp2 and Bias Pedal apps will connect to their hardware directly with Bluetooth.... so if you own bias head/mini and/or 1 or more of their pedals; you can do that.
So you can’t use FX2 like that... but you can use FX2 as a test and search tool to find what you would like. Then you can dial in the amp and pedals you want in the apps and upload the ones you like to the hardware where you then switch between them without latency. (Or even without the app.)
It is very fun. But not as convenient as being able to do it all with one app... like FX2. I think it would be nice if you could do it with FX2; It would make owning all of their hardware kind of like owning an enhanced version of their Spark Amp only with less limitations.

Hi,
I use the Scarlett Solo(2nd Gen) with a i3 64bit laptop and can get down to 96 buffer size without any breakup. What buffer size are you using to cause unacceptable latency.
