You sure complained about itMay 21, 2020 "Grounding the usb cable to a nearby radiator pipe greatly reduces the excess hum, which allows a little less noise gate to silence fully. Not an ideal situation but until PG tweak the subtlety of the noise gate it's the best I can do."

Nope. I don't carry a practice amp with me either.
Grounding helps with excess noise, but it doesn't get rid of it all. You'll still need to use the noise gate on high gain tones.
This is not abnormal.

Hum in any amp practice or not is not acceptable.
So why have they been shipping and people buying different new power supplies as I have been reading if it is normal ? -
Because some (very very few) people have a genuine issue with excess noise even on clean tones.
Most people who are complaining about excess noise do not fit into that category, myself included.
Excess noise using high gain is absolutely normal. To fix it, use the noise gate, or use less gain.

finally got mine yesterday, ordered 3 November received 18 June Australia.
works perfectly, no hum at all, I can hear ghekos farting in between my Cannibal Corpse chopping, that's how silent it is. Clean or high gain... quiet as a mouse.
being a sparkie, I know we have excellent grounding here.. down under.
I find the bass a bit high though, I need to go pretty low on that dial, lower than I've ever used. no drama there.
Connected to my app easily.
tried dozens of presets uploaded by people.... what shite... what were they thinking... some people just want to see their name on there, or need to get their hearing tested.
I think someone has to go through them and delete 1000s of them.
it's way too time consuming.
Look PG.... I don't have the time and patience to sift through all the cr@p on there, I'll gladly pay 20 bucks for a set of a couple dozen professionally made IRs of genuine cabinets and amps and artist series etc.. like the MFX superseries for the digitech gnx4...
seriously, I've already spent over an hour going through dozens of shite, that's 25 bucks of my time wasted right there and then.
Conclusion : a great small and loud Bluetooth speaker that u can plug a guitar into and get decent sound.
Nothing more, nothing less.
plain and simple.
Now if this was battery operated and had wireless guitar like the Katana air.... then it would be no1 on every man's list and we'd be waiting 18mths not 6 to receive it... -

I think someone has to go through them and delete 1000s of them.Uh, nope. Many people use tone cloud to back up their tones in case their phone dies or their app data gets deleted.
Instead of wasting 25 bucks worth of time searching through endless dross, you could have spent that money, sorry, time creating your own tones, tuned to your own deaf ears and your own guitar, pickups and tastes.
Glad you finally got your amp, glad it doesn't appear to be defective.

Today? not if I knew I would only get it after Christmas... but if there was only a 2 week wait? for sure
there's a few things I'd really like added though,
1)a phrase trainer with pitch correction.
2)A usb port to put my flash drive in.it feels like sometimes manufacturers are going backwards, taking the best bell and whistles out of the industry, and expecting everyone to progress to laptop recording and smart fone editing etc etc,
I was in need for a Bluetooth speaker, that's the only reason I decided to put my order in, considering what the Marshall stanmores go for, without the extras PG have added here, it's a no brainer really...
I looked at the boss katana air, probably should've gone that way, but my main priority was a more powerful Bluetooth speaker, I've since had second thoughts, but I've got 6mths to play around with this and see what else is new at Namm 2021 -

What a coincidence the day I write my first comments on my frustrations the bloody thing arrives.So Positive Grids Status is not accurate as it was delivered yesterday but still shows as still being prepared.

Delivered to my house in New Zealand on 02/07/20
Initial thoughts looks great, initial tones at low volumes sound good.
Haven't used app yet with it.
