Expression Pedal as volume with bias rack
-
Hello,
Does anyone has figured out how to use an expression pedal (like Korg Exp-2) with a bias rack as a volume pedal ?
Or simply connect the expression pedal ? It does work for me.
I wired it in FX2 input. Trying to calibrate but it does not seem to be recognized by the amp...Regards

Wow, I didn't even know it had that function, but looking at that picture, looks like they have. Are you running both the send and return?

@pipelineaudio No, I just wire to the FX2 input. I use send and return for FX loop with an iPad and FX1 with Positive Footswitch. I'd like to add a volume footswitch, so I tried with the Korg Exp-2 (As it says in the faq, that pedal seems to work), but I really don't know how to "calibrate" it and assign it to "Master Ouput".
I tried to wire my guitar directly in Korg Exp-2 input and the output to amp input: It works like the volume button from the guitar.. No quiet like my Vox Tonelab SE used to work. The volume is for all signal including effects with the tonelab but with that configuration, it's only the input volume. Preamp, effects and amps stage stays at the same level... -
@cedric-scheyder The EXP. Pedal jacks on BIAS Rack supports latch-type foot switch only. You need to grab a MIDI-CC compatible foot switch such as FCB1010 to get it work.

@felix Thanks for the answer. How to assign FCB1010 to volume ? Within Bias amp 2 app ?
How to know which PC Message # is assigned to the expression pedals in FCB1010 ? -
@cedric-scheyder Please refer to this tutorial:https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005019226-How-to-Change-MIDI-PC-on-BIAS-Head-Rack-
You can assign a MIDI CC to control the Output on BIAS Rack.
