Delay Notice: BIAS AMP 2 for BIAS Rack/Head(Update/May/21/2018)

@felix said in Delay Notice: BIAS AMP 2 for BIAS Rack/Head(Update/Mar/12/2018):
@johan-enbom Yes, the new firmware version for BIAS Head/Rack has been delayed to mid of May. :man_facepalming_tone3:
Felix, thank you so much for the update. Best of luck to your team on the implementation!
-
@felix thanks for the update.
-
I'm ok with delays. As long as this is 100% happening, I'm stoked. Well, off to count seconds.
-
Honestly, I'll be pretty annoyed if it's been delayed solely because of the iPad. For starters, to even do the update, you need a PC with the software, so theoretically everyone with a head could have done it via USB for as long as the head has been able to run it...
-
Well mid-may is next week, no? This is a crazy waiting game for me. If my turn comes up on the waiting list for an Axe III I will purchase it, if PG gets the software out first I will not purchase the Fractal and will purchase a Bias Head.
-
Hoping to see an update today :)
-
I am not able to believe in an update today. Due to the problems caused when releasing the latest 2 updates for iOS, I am pretty sure there will be a related delay.
-
It's technically still "mid May" but a couple of more days and that time has passed. Come on Positive Grid, give us that update!
-
@ásgeir-helgi-þrastarson Felix stated May 15 in another thread. I don't care if it was delayed, I'm just sick of dates being brought up and not fulfilled. I'm happy with Bias Amp 1 for the time-being, but not happy about constant let-downs.
-
I don't think it was felix who said may 15; he just said mid-may. Someone from the PositiveGrid Australia page said May 15, which I never felt was particularly reliable.
-
@ash-wolford Still interesting that someone from Positive Grid Australia just gave a specific date, instead of saying that they don't know.
-
Losing the will to live with it now, I lost capability to use my iPad to edit as it was on auto update, my mistake i know but still.... the other issue is that I’m not creating tones in 2 as I use my amp head to play through so there’s no point in progressing until it’s all compatible so I feel in limbo. Part of me thinks to sell up and go with kemper or another option as it’s been a long wait. Sorry PG but that’s how I feel with no comms to help me gauge what to do
-
@mark-rigby tell me about it I just bought a rack specifically because I loved bias amp 2. Then i realize that not only is it not compatible but the bias amp 1 app no longer exists for the iPad?! I'm going to have to return it if I don't hear news soon.
-
I don't get the wait for release along side the ios version as the mini head clearly didn't have this requirement. Honestly PG if the head update is ready just release it already, head users paid the highest premium for your product and I feel like we're not really being listened too. There's been PG staff replying on other threads in the last few days but nothing on this one. @Felix is it coming this week or not?
-
i get that felix etc. most likely can't say anything without approval or instruction, but PG seriously needs to work on their presence and transparency, because clearly this is making their highest-paying users feel like second-class citizens.
-
@ash-wolford the fact that felix and mike have responded to other posts today but gave this one a wide berth speaks volumes about the level of support on this matter. not impressed
-
@mark-rigby : wide berth....hehn, that's a speculative one. Could be they haven't gotten to it in the cue, as it's at the top of the new posts page. And they may not have info, so nothing to say. They appear liasons, and would have little if any authority beyond the workings of the forum.
-
yeah, you can't really place any blame on the community folks like felix and mike, since they're effectively representatives of the company and could get dinged hard if they release information that hasn't been cleared for public disclosure yet.
-
Felix is PG support no? He is a stand up guy who has helped me in the past with amp head issues, including sending replacement parts. My gripe is at PG but this is my only avenue to letting them know how unhappy I am. I could post it on their social media posts but choose here as it’s less harmful for reputations as most who visit here I imagine are amp head customers already in the same boat.
If the issue was just waiting then I wouldn’t be frustrated but I’ve spoken my issue a few posts back. I am seriously close to trading my bias head and line 6 hxfx for a helix due to this issue
-
Come on, it's already mid May!!
