Good luck getting an answer to this, the PG customer support sucks.

@josh_j_howe I have the same problem. MacBook Pro 16, Big Sur. I can find the G1 device in Midi Studio, but I can delete it as often as I want, Bias Amp 2 still does not connect to my Bias Rack Processor…
POSITIVE GRID PLEASE REACT!!!

OK, guys. Even though I really don't know if anyone else is reading this, I'd like to share a solution to this problem that at least works in my setup here.... ;-)
My workaround procedure:
-
turn off Bias Head / Rack and disconnect USB cable from Macbook.
-
follow the steps as described by PG: link
-
reboot your Macbook, connect USB and turn on Bias Head / Rack while booting.
-
start the Bias Amp 2 - it should now connect properly to Bias Rack DSP (at least in my setup).
Make sure you do NOT disconnect the USB cable while the Mac is still running! If you do, you will need to follow the steps above again.
If you need to disconnect your Bias Head / Rack, this is how it works on my computer:.
-
turn off the Mac.
-
disconnect the USB port.
-
You can restart your Mac and start working with it.
-
when you want to reconnect your Bias Head / Rack, turn off or restart your Mac.
-
connect the USB port and turn on the Bias Head / Rack while booting.
-
boot Bias Amp 2 - it should now reconnect properly to Bias Rack DSP.
Hope this will work for you, too!!!
