Spark Mini and iPhone with Loopy HD?
-
I think this belongs here. I can’t seem to find anyone talking about this for the mini (only the 40), but I am trying to use Loopy HD on my iPhone as a looper (with XSonic AirStep Spk Edition), but I can’t seem to get my iPhone to connect to the Spark Mini via OTG cable or USB-C to Lightning cable. It still wants to use the iPhone mic instead. What am I missing? I can use GarageBand on my iPad successfully but not Loopy HD still.

@adam-copp82 Have you tried using a powered usb hub. I could only get the iphone to connect to mini when using powered usb hub. I did a quick test with ipad mini (which has usb-c) and that seemed to work. Even though the mini has it's own power, I think the iphone only handles low power usb devices.
Give it a try at least. For me I am using quantiloop and have had varied levels of success across various iphone / ipad devices. It's probably ok for practice but it is annoying to still get pops and drop outs. I think I was getting same kind of thing with loopyhd. Don't think the usb support is what it needs to be on the mini, which is a shame.

I have not tried a powered USB hub. That is unfortunate as it kinda kills the portability, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Don’t know if this helps; however, check out the Note under the Mini Firmware Release Notes on the Spark Amp Lovers Knowledge Base (link below). I have a Spark 40 with a very simple practice setup.https://status.sparkamplovers.com/?_gl=1d4j323_gaMjQyOTA0MjQwLjE2NzgxMTI1MjY._ga_HRB01W16P6*MTY3ODg5MjMwOS4xMC4wLjE2Nzg4OTIzMDkuMC4wLjA.&_ga=2.129644937.405307742.1678558371-242904240.1678112526
