      Hi all,

Wanted to use the spark mini as a audio interface into my MAC pro to use with garageband to quickly record some ideas.

However, the sound on every setting is really poor, distorted sounds are completely unusable and just sound 'crackly', clean sounds are are also slightly distorted and nothing like the tone used in speaker mode.

I'm I missing something here? I usually record from my Hughes and Kettner grandmeister using an audio interface into the MAC and the recorded sound is incredible but takes a while to get everything set up so is a time investment to get going. Was hoping that the Mini would be a good solution for quick recording but so far it is not usable.

Thanks for any advice on this, Phil

I have had to do some EQing using my Spark 40. I had to play around with the input level a bit to get a clean sound as I found the Spark a little on the low side and turning it up just introduced distortion.
