    Using virtual ODs and gates in front of Bias and Bias FX

      I have tried a few freeware pedals. Some 808 and TS9-clone ODs, and I didn't like the gain matching. The gates didn't give as tight and as transparent a tone.

      What has your experience been?

        @tannhauser I've used a TS clone but only used it the same way I would with a live rig, no extra gain, just sweeping the tone knob to tighten up wobbly low end due to low tuning.

          @danbieranowski: what I'm getting at is where did you set the input level on Bias?

          Conversely, have you used any of the pedals in Bias FX as input to Bias? Where did you set the levels of each for that?

            @tannhauser I haven't, but that's a great question. So far with FX, I've loaded up the amps I wanted within the FX shell so I wasn't chaining the two together. I would assume you'd want to match the input and output volumes on Bias FX, so you don't clip the input of Bias Amp (unless you want to). It's not something I've experimented with though.

              FX shell? You mean you have Bias Pro as well, and then use one inside the other?
