No Sound After Installing Firmware?? I Have The Definitive Fix.

I was frustrated like the rest of you... After installing my firmware update, NO SOUND!!!!
The fix was very easy. Positive grid sent me the original link with this instruction.
Please download the attached New Spark Firmware Updater with Log (AKM_WIN).zip file (see attachment) and follow the steps below:
- Unzip the file
- Double-click Run_Updater_With_Log.bat to execute it
- Wait until the Spark 40 reboots itself. The LED would get back to normal from the flashing state.
- Check if the update is successful and the output resumes. If not, please send the log.txt file (generated in the process) in the same folder back to us.
This time I launched the updater with the "Run_Updater_With_log.bat file. Windows tries to block this style of installation (you can easily override by selecting MORE INFO and RUN ANYWAY).
Now the firmware installed and my guitar sound came up. You will see a light show from the tuner lights.
Still no sound from my app - guess what, I had to unplug the USB cable (from the back of Sparky) to get sound. UNPLUG THE USB TO GET SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How stupid is that, or me.
Remember you the ASIO installed on the computer before you do any of this with the USB plugged in. This is the program that runs the USB port - provided by positive grid.
Hey positive Grid, you should shoot me a coupon for this post!!

@stevenblakeinc i wouldnt call unplugging the usb cable a fix but something you need to remember to do before testing. After my upgrade failed 5 or 10 times there was definately times when i did not remember to do this , so my test would have been ineffective.
also isnt the asio driver just an audio driver - imho it should have nothing to do with the firmware update process. It wasnt present on the 5th pc i tried that ended up getting the update to work
