      While it might be useful to see what pedals or amp emulations might be available for purchase, as I at least have some basis for what those may sound like, I can't see a reason why I should have a large list of presets I have not purchased and I cannot demo within the program.

      Please, please do not do this. Or at the very least give an option to hide any add-ons that users have not unlocked. IK multimedia went down this road and made Amplitube one of the most loathed amp softwares out there. This makes for a bad user experience and bloats the software.
