Placed and order for a spark and then the next day the offer with a bag and spark appeared grrr.



  • As the title says placed an order on the 23rd December and then 2 days later an offer arrived offering the bag as well as the spark arrived. Talk about bad timing.

    Also is it usual that it’ll take a month before it’ll be shipped? Ordered 23rd December 2020 and says expecting to ship on 27th January. Is that about right for the timescale for shipping or do they sometimes ship prior to the estimated posting date?

    Can’t wait for it to arrive mind you.



  • @kain-harkins : Yeah, that's a bummer about missing the special offer by a day. You should reach out to Positive Grid. Explain your situation and ask if they will include the extra goodies for you. Probably, they will do so. Never hurts to ask. I would send them an email directly and I would also privately message them on their social media.

    As for the delay in delivery, yeah...that's the so-called new normal. Being that you ordered during Christmas rush and combining this with Covid delaying supply lines, etc. it's gonna take some time to get the unit. But, let me reassure you, it's well worth the wait. Good luck!

    I’ve messaged them through the Facebook messenger app this morning and they’ve said they’ll look into my order regarding delivery times and I’m assuming the bag as well although they didn’t say it. I mean ordering on the 23rd December I wasn’t expecting it this week but to have to wait until the end of January until it even ships is a bit excessive unless they’re building them to order.

    Also I’m really looking forward to it and wish I’d have known about it before getting the Line 6 spider jam I got just over a year ago. I still ain’t got to grips with it’s menu system so the spark is gonna be like night and day from what I’ve seen. And the capability of being able to use the iPad/iPhone is brilliant for me. Although I’m gonna have to source as decent quality USB-B to lightning wire from somewhere.

    I ordered mine on 11th Dec and was given a shipping date of 31st Dec.
    When I queried it they pointed me at their shipping policy and said don't worry it usually ships much sooner than the given date.
    Today (30th Dec) my shipping date has moved out to 15th January.
    Total disregard for customer. They are only interested in marketing and taking your money. The actual delivery of the item is inconsequential to Positive Grid.
    Had I not already waited this long I would cancel and buy something else from a reputable manufacturer.
    But then, they know that and that is why they don't give you the actual shipping date first time round.
    Time will tell if their second promise is a lie too.

    Yeah I’ve just noticed that my delivery date is now in February and when I got my reply yesterday they said because of the borders being closed over in the uk this would have an effect on my order. I pointed out that any borders being closed is for people not freight so their comment about the borders being closed made no sense. I’ve got a bad feeling about yet another order from across the pond being dragged out. I’m experiencing problems with a Joe Satriani usb stick with stripped backing tracks that I pre ordered in September and wasn’t due until early December. Needless to say I was told that mine had been posted in December early on and sure enough it’s gone missing before it’s left the states so after messaging back and forth they’re gonna send another out but this is a common issue I seem to find when ordering anything from across the pond which kinda cheeses me off why I even bother sometimes and wish there were UK suppliers who could give a good service than I’m experiencing from anywhere I order from in the US. I thought the UK postal system was screwed up but the USPS blows the UK postal system out of the water and that’s including DHL who were supposed to be shipping me the limited edition usb.

    Time will tell if PG can come good and prove me wrong. I do hope they do improve me opinion of companies outside of the UK.



  • I do think though we need a UK point of contact that can relay any information to us without having to rely on PG to contact us individually as I bet they are getting a load of enquiries regarding orders.

    It doesn’t help with regards to the time zone difference between UK and the US and also the Christmas holidays and not knowing the opening hours of their office apart from being Monday to Friday.



  • I placed my order this week and its saying March delivery, im not holding my breath by the sounds of other people's nightmares. Apparently it was in the small print that it would take longer but I didn't see. I probably wouldn't have ordered if I'd have know it was March. Is there a cancel order button?

    If it makes you feel any better I got mine last week. Ordered 13th December and arrived last week. Still before the date they gave me first which was the 26th Jan and then the revised date of 6th Feb. Honestly stay the course. They aren’t brilliant at getting back to us but remember the time difference between us and them. It’s worth the wait but their customer services do leave a lot to be desired. I messaged them yesterday as I had filled in two questionnaires offering 10% off on each one. I sent the, a message and they’ve sent me a reply with a 30% discount code within a few hours. The only thing they wanted me to do was check my spam/junk folder and if it wasn’t there message them back which I did and they replied pretty much straight away with the code. And there’s no time limit on when I can use it although I’m not sure what to use it on just yet.

    Honestly they will get it to you and it’ll be before March. Did it say it was in stock hen you ordered it? They told me mine was being shipped via Poland warehouse but when Yodel had it on tracking it said it had come from Shenzhen not Poland.

  • @stevenrobinson686 it is. I just wish I was well enough and my wife not sleeping off nights all the time so I could get time to play it a bit more. That and I’m busy trying to clear the room so I have a bit more room instead of tripping over stuff all the time.
