Anybody else notice this amp looks so amazingly similar to Yamaha THR series ?
Check out a THR-10. Compare the controls layout on both. Wonder if it is built off of that platform. Wonder if Yamaha used Positivegrid to better the design.

Yamaha has its own amp modeling technology that is unrelated to PG’s digital simulation. But there are certainly similarities in the two products. I have two THRs, and I’ve ordered a Spark.

I'm not aware the THR allows for deep editing and changing amps and FX via app, leave alone the other app features. But then THR 30II is available with lien 6 receiver inbuilt and has line outs. So, while they share similarities, they are definitely different kind of beasts. Spark needs to earn his credits, but I am a happy BiasFX and BIAS user - so hopes are high. Played the THR once, wasn't too impressed.
          Should see soon....

I bought a THR30 MK2 and returned it within 3 days. Waaaaaay over priced, has ZERO low end and just a bit tinny with anything distorted. Pretty amp though so look good on a shelf.

I would buy the THR again but would never pay more than 100 for it.

@diegofiorillo-uk That is my fear with this amp.

I tried a lot of modeling amps and they all sounded like tin cans. I wasn't overly impressed with the Katana 50 either TBH. I don't play overly distorted heavy music much anymore and most of the effects I'd never use on them. I was looking for a nice clean tone with a bit of tube feel. The little orange Crush 20 had the best tone of a practice amp I have tried. Lacking the modelling features though. I ended up getting the StageRight 20W Tube amp of of amazon and it's been seriously impressive. $200 USD

There are some more choices like VOX Air GT or Katana Air. Different approach but still both are carriole.
