Spark delivery

  • First they told us the delivery time would be delayed "a few short weeks" now it sounds like it will be a few long months and their still taking massive amounts of pre orders in..What's the deal positive grid did you promise us something you can't come through with??? It's time to be honest and come clean...

  • Yep. Seems like they've been less than forthright on this. If they delay it any longer than the latest estimate of late February, I will cancel my order.

    In my past life, I worked for a company that imported goods from mainland China. It would take 5 to 6 weeks to ship from China, and clear customs before we got our stuff. If that timeline is still applicable, our Spark amps are on a ship, bound for the USA right now. To accomplish a late February delivery, they would need to be on the water right now. Are they???? The fact that PG hasn't provided us ANYTHING specific on the items we paid them for months ago tells me they haven't even left China yet. I'd love to get a more complete update from someone at PG.

  • Going in I saw how incredibly popular the Spark was and I assumed it would be later than they originally announced. I much prefer someone under promise and over deliver, but I also understand that sometimes things are out of your hands and/or control. I'm going crazy waiting, and yet totally cool with it, because I know that soon enough I'll have one in my possession. Try and wear Positive Grid's shoes for a bit and realize that they are busting their butts trying to get us our amps ASAP. It must have been a bitter pill to swallow knowing they would need to announce a delay. Kudos to the whole crew and I hope there aren't anymore delays... But, if there are, I will continue being patient and hopeful. Cheers!

  • FYI, Answer from PG as below;
    PG delayed without any notice or apology.
    There may be more than 16,000 SPARK orders.
    PG maybe happy, but... promise goes nothing.

    According to your order#, the latest estimated delivery for Super Early Bird /Early Bird has been postponed to Jan. 2020.

    We're taking 100% inspection rate to ensure the best quality of Spark pre-ordered. Two months ago we were talking about a 500 pc pre-order, now it's not just 20 times more but also a potential game changer at this price point - only if we can make it right from the very beginning.

    Therefore, we know the wait is already long but it's the last mile we promise. Thank you for your patience with us.

    Not arguing the popularity of Spark, or the difficulty in managing offshore suppliers. My gripe is with the communication (or lack of) from PG. They have done a great job in creating demand - but a terrible job in living up to what they've created.

  • I am a little frustrated because Positive Grid has does not have an option to view your order status. I want this product, just do not know when or if it will arrive.
