How to: BIAS FX on iOS
-
I gotta go back to work later tonight, I'll see if I can really test for sure
-
OK, back at work, I posted some pics up to Facebook, but the gist of it is, Live view showing or not didnt seem to make any difference. PC Preset switching vs Live View CC Preset switching didnt matter, and just in case, I made some single path presets to switch between and it still didnt matter.
A disturbing thing was that sometimes any of the switching methods (including the path switching) can make huge clicks. Which I wrote to PG about before.
I hope they are watching this thread, there is a LOT LOT LOT of stuff which could make this thing ten million times more uber

There doesn't seem to be any way on the desktop version to assign midi to toggle channel1/channel 2 on the splitter, only ways to assign chainnel 1 to a CC and channel 2 to another. Also doesn't look like theres long press on the desktop
Sadly, in a way, this means the mobile version is more powerful than the desktop, which is a sad thing indeed

Hmm I have not tried to do it but on my stand alone I see midi settings to do just that (note they are not labeled anything to do with the splitter)
Check this picture, maybe I am wrong? but I see channel selection choices for 2 channels here

Just tried it and works perfect, toggles the splitter to all 3 settings CH1 CH2 and both channels

Wait how are you assigning the same CC to switch channel 1 then turn off channel 1 and turn on channel 2?
-
Actually there are several things that are available in MIDI path #! that arent in MIDI path #2 or #3, and all combinations of that. A biggie is toggling amps themselves...available in #3 but not #2 if I remember right

It takes me 3 separate switches because it's not an A/B box?
#1 switch selects CH1 (turns off dual path or ch2)
#2 selects CH2 (turns off dual path or ch1)
#3 can select both (from either channel to dual)if it was an A/B it would toggle between A and B with a single switch (they could add this feature I'd guess as a 4th option) but to be combined would probably need a 2nd switch still
Anyway was just a quick test to see if I could modify a patch with instant access switching on the channels from my floorboard

Thats what I'm saying, on the iOS version, MIDI Path #1 allows an A/B box, so one CC can do it. In desktop, there is no path #1 as there is no Live View

And that needs a fixing then - just looked at the iOS controls and has 4 options instead of 3 with "switch channels" as the missing option from the desktop version just plain silly if so
Also just checked and Toggle Amp 1 will not work but Toggle Amp 2 works fine on the desktop - tried multiple patches and CC's - looks like this may need fixing too? works fine on iOS...

This really needs to be dealt with....MIDI Assignment in settings should show EVERYTHING that can be assigned in MIDI and should allow setting ANYTHING that can be assigned in MIDI. ALL of it. And that includes anything assignable from icon view as well

Agreed 100%! MIDI needs to be uniform and all in one place
