Popping and crackling in Bias FX
-
Hello, I have just bought Bias FX, and there is loads of popping and cracking through my headphones. It does not happen in Bias Amp, just the FX, and it does also happen through the speakers, so its not the headphones.
I wonder if anyone has any idea what the problem is? Or how to fix? I am using the Focusrite - scarlett solo for the audio interface, and I have a 64 bit system (Windows). I have updated the drivers for the scarlett, and I downloaded 64 bit of the Bias software as that is what my system is. I tried to change the buffer size but I dont think that was having any effect.
Really appreciate some help, the tones sound great, but I cant live with the cracking!! thx

It’s usually going to be buffer size. Can you try it as a VST and see if it behaves the same as standalone?

I have not tried it in Cubase yet, I will try that! I did want to use it as standalone though too, will give it a go as a VST thanks..

thanks @pipelineaudio ! wow actually that worked by playing it through Cubase, totally different,, am just surprised as technical problems don't always work out for me ;) ..will try to figure the standalone issue, but yeah sounds good in cubase!

Check your settings in Cubase, and then try to set them the same. For instance, on my system, depending on which interface I have plugged in at the time, I'm using ASIO, at a buffer size that keeps it from making trouble.

Dude positive grid should give you free gear. You always come through
You hear that PG?

Better yet, build my BiasFX Pedalboard project! And/or combo amp. And/or rack. Not to sound like a stuck record, but with true dual path for guitar amps and PA systems (one with the cabinet on, one with the cabinet off), auto engage for the wahs and relevant FX (already provided the source code), harmonizer (can help with that code), per preset volume, movable IR block, wet/dry controls per FX block, and a bit better of a tuner

Welll, not to diss anyone and all, but these are basic things anyone using digital gear should know.

Should be a sticky, but they do need to learn them somewhere, why not here?

Yeah, sure, dude. I'm sayin curiosity of stuff people use seems to be lacking. Most of the things I know about computers and video technology came from playing around on my first one, and looking things up...Wiki in most of it.
