Low gain and high feedback

In BIAS AMP 2: When I plug my guitar into my pc I get very low gain on the metal amps (they don't sound metal at all). But when I up the gain on my input I just get this high pitched noise together with a lot of white noise. How do I fix this?

Spend some money in new batteries for your active guitar PUs ;)

@sascha-ballweg I never said my pickups were active ones. They aren't

Are you using a direct box of any sort?

I know. It was just a guess, based on the symptoms.

@pipelineaudio No, I'm not. I guess the chance of it happening because my guitar is plugged straight into my computer is very high. However, if I do anything clean, it does sound good and my input signal is pretty loud.
-
Because the clean signal is for the most part, linear. Stick a compressor on that clean signal, and have it do anything like the dynamic range reduction a high gain amp would do (I mean a max swing of like 18dB, for real) and see what it sounds like then

@pipelineaudio I'm currently using my Rig via interface and no DI. I've used a DI with an interface and I still had this issue occur. The comp even with Noise gain I'm still hit with that noise. It's like some sort of error with the drivers is my assumption.

Definitely could be! Which interface is this?
