Amp loses connection with PC using USB
-
So I recently updated the amp, no issues there. Of course installed and used the ASIO drivers from the Spark website.
I noticed while using the amp as a speaker in Windows 10 connected with the USB Cable, the amp would just disconnect. Would require me unplugging and reconnecting the USB cable again.
Anyone have this issue? Or know a way to fix it?
I'm thinking its either the cable is bad or the ASIO driver issue. I do recall a long time ago hear that the ASIO driver wasn't that good.

@nux7osx The asio drivers are terrible. Its impossible to reduce the latency beyond 128.If you do reduce it you will get no output sound. Its pointless having latency as low as 16 if one cant use it.
Even on an i7 3.6 quad core,24 Gb ram and an SSD drive there are still pops and clicks.
Its pointless recording when the guitar sounds are completely out of phaze and sounds like a chorus pedal that's constantly on,and yes we want to monitor sounds through the Spark amp to have our sounds in real time. Its pointless having to turn down the music volume level.
Positive grid should address these issues and provide robust ASIO drivers for recording. -
@tennisadam1 In the meantime, use a cable that has a 1/8" stereo plug on one end to go into the headphone jack on the Spark, and two 1/4" mono phone jacks on the other end to go into an audio interface which then runs into your computer. You'll need to experiment with the volume level on the headphone jack, so start with it low and then gradually raise it to where you get a decent sound into your DAW.

@dhbailey I still believe that the Positive Grid ASIO drivers are unacceptable. I travel with my laptop and my Spark and don't carry around anything else.

@tennisadam1 I totally agree -- but they have done nothing about it, so I don't expect they ever will do anything about it. So we need to find workarounds -- one is to run a cable into an audio interface (that way, too, you can include any backing tracks you're playing along with if you want) and the other is to use the free ASIO4ALL.
