The Spark Amplifier requires a PC or a Mac to update firmware. The associated Spark App, that provides access to Presets and ToneCloud, requires an iOS or Android Phone or Pad/Tablet.

A review of past issues over the past 2-3 years suggests to me that a combination of a Windows PC and an iPad has the least issues.
