Spark GO - speaker rattle
-
Is anyone else experiencing speaker rattle on the Spark Go at certain frequencies?
Mine seems to rattle at "A" on the G string.
I'm not sure if this is inherent in the unit or a manufacturing defect.
-
@byron-sanford I get a rattle with more distorted presets with higher volumes.
-
yep same here... speaker clip/rattle at 75% volume. might be sending it back.

Yes, just got mine and finally had a chance to listen to it IRL, (I work nights), ugly rattle from notes from wound strings. Not ALL notes though. Not distortion, this is a physical rattle that almost sounds like when the cone excursion is far enough it is making contact with something behind it. Maybe a wire or acoustic dampening material?
I'm in manufacturing so I get that there will be issues with early production runs, they'll get it ironed out eventually. I knew better but preordered for the price. Won't happen again.
Same sound with grille removed. I've made and repaired a lot of speakers, this sure does not sound like amplifier distortion, I'm betting on speaker issue. I could be wrong though! -
I haven't noticed this yet, though I tend to play at low volumes unless I'm using headphones. I'll have to listen for it.

I have the same big issue, returning it, it sounds like a misconception or speaker default.
-
I had the same issue of annoying speaker rattle. Performing a hard reset fixed it.

Turn off your Spark GO.
-
Hold the Power and Preset buttons, then release the buttons when the Power Indicator turns into white color.
-
Hold the Preset button, until all four preset LEDs buttons blink once, then release the button.
-
Spark GO will be turned off automatically when the factory reset is completed, turn it back on to start playing.
