Just curious as to why there are not more licensed amp/pedal packs. We had the JH pack and thats it. I would pay to play the brands I'm interested in like BOSS, Fender, EVH, Soldano etc as well as smaller brands like JHS. Seems like leaving money on the table.

Possibly solutions on PC offer this but not interested as the Spark for me is a one-stop solution and I don't record myself.

In my opinion, there are several reasons:

        1. When the JH Package was released, there was a lot of negative feedback from forum members. Up to that point, all other Preset upgrades were free. As a result, it may not have lived up to its business plan goals.

        2. PG doesn’t appear to have a big staff, and they’ve been focused on several new Spark releases (new Controller & Mini) over the past year.

        3. Based on forum activity, there continue to be Spark support issues. When I joined 1 1/2 years ago, many related to Android and MacBook issues, with less related to iOS and PC signal chains. Recently general Bluetooth issues have been cropping up on all platforms. I think they’re having problems keeping up with recent iOS, Android, Windows and Mac OS releases, but that’s guesswork on my part.

        4. I think PGs core business is on its BIAS products, and again, based on forum activity, there continue to be BIAS access and support issues. I think many of Spark App Preset upgrades (free and otherwise) came from the PG BIAS products side.

I bought the JH package when it was released, and occasionally still enjoy playing around with it. I also have had minimal issues with my Spark 40. I’m happy with the Amp and use for several hours every day (hardly ever access the App though). Given the continued stream of issues cropping up on the forum, I’m hoping PG is focusing on support issues, and winning back the trust of their customer base.
