General PC Hardware advice
-
I have an Old PC - 2013 - although it is relatively powerful (3.3Ghz i5, SSD, and 8Gb). It has onboard Sound (Gigabyte Mobo) , and of course Run W10.
I have only just recently installed Bias FX 2 Standard, as well as purchasing RIff. . I have messed around with DAWs before, but I have basically become all the more aware of Latency, now that I have spent some money.
I would basically like some pointers about improving Latency, and improving sound. For example, is it worth buying a Sound card (i.e. not relying on onboard sound), perhaps just short-term.
Then of course at some stage replace my PC - would it be worth shelling out for a Modest i7 sound optimised rig, or just a new machine based on a similar spec as this one, perhaps a reasonable Laptop ?
I love my Spark, but I would love to have something that responds the same, but has more scope.
