No output after firmware update :( I have tired EVERYTHING I could find
-
Hey all,
I am having no luck with my Spark outputting any sound updating to the latest firmware. I have tried all troubleshooting I could find with reinstalling the firmware update and ejecting it, factory resetting it, trying different USB ports on my computer, etc. I am so lost and frustrated for ideas. I have sent over logs to PG to look at and they tell me they come back fine. I even sent one back to them and they sent me a new one and I am still getting NO sound. Is there a specific way to reinstall the latest firmware I am missing? I open the updater, plug my spark in, and check for updates. I'll do the latest 1.7 update, eject it, and unplug it aaaaand nothing. I rinse and repeat. I cannot for the life of me get this to work unless I downgrade the firmware to 1.2.3.37 which I KNOW is not recommended at all but its the only way I can use my amp. Is there any ideas on what to do? I'd like to update it and use the newest features but this has been such a huge issue that I'd rather have it functional then a brick. Please anything will help thanks!

I have the exact same issue. Didn't know that you could even downgrade the firmware. I've been using my headphone jack with a 3.5mm patch cable into my 15 year old line 6 amp. When I upgraded it automatically installed a beta version and even then I'm still prompted to upgrade the firmware to use the guitar and bass EQs. All while the speakers in the amp are now dead weight. I'm tempted to pull out the control unit and build it into another amp.

@kalin-phillips
I too have problems since the latest 1.7 update. -
Well, at first I was really disappointed, but I guess not having a cell phone or tablet that will run their software may not be such a bad thing after all... I would be pretty irate if I had to deal with that.
