No sound output from Spark 40 speakers
-
Hi, all
There is no sound coming from the speakers of the Spark 40.
- All input sources.(input,bluetooth,aux)
- There is sound coming out of the headphones. (All input OK)
- Firmware Updated. (Spark firmware 1.7.5.182)
- Factory reset has been performed.
Did this amp fail?

Have you created a Support Ticket? How old is your Spark 40? Did it fail all at once, or did it intermittently cut out over time? I assume the speaker also fails when using the Spark 40 as a Bluetooth Speaker for music/backing tracks.
In the past, one Forum Member has suggested cleaning the Headphone Socket; it’s relatively easy and eliminates one potential cause. The socket acts like a switch; when the headphone plug is inserted it ‘turns off’ the signal to the speakers. It’s possible that a piece of debris could lodge in the socket and permanently activate the switch.
Given that cleaning didn’t solve the problem, I’d suspect a hardware component or wire connection failure. You definitely want to create a Support Ticket if your Spark 40 is new, or still under warranty. It still makes sense even if it’s not.

My Spark 40 failed with the 1.7.5.182 firmware update. I am still working with PG support trying to get it to work again. I had a UI Design Error Code displayed on the screen when it updated.
My Spark has been out of commission for a week now and I am losing hope that PG will get it working again. We have tried multiple firmware installs without success. It was working fine prior to this upgrade.
Open a support case and hopefully your experience is better than mine and they get yours working again.
