Has anyone been able to successfully control Bias FX2 Standalone in Windows from MIDI controls sent by a BT pedal. I have an Airstep Lite pedal that I believe is set up correctly, connecting to my laptop and sending the correct CC# commands. I also believe that I have set up the midi correctly inside of Bias FX2.

I have a youtube video of everything I am trying to describe below. I am a guitarist/drummer and not a keyboardist/producer so explain it to me like I am five, MIDI is all new to me..

Here's an example of the commands I am sending from the Airstep pedal:
      ![alt text](d4ca020a-da62-425b-ab10-7ebd3d067027-image.png image url)

I am running loopMIDI as a loopback port on the laptop. I have verified that loopMIDI sees and sends the MIDI commands when the buttons are pressed on the Airstep Lite:

I verfied that the Audio Settings inside of BiasFX2 have the loopMidi device checked, and the MIDI is turned on and mapped to Channel two and the toggle command for some pedals. As the video shows, nothing is happening in the app.

When I try to use the Learn button on the MIDI assignment screen it "listens" for input but times out with an error after 5 secs. I don't understand why this isn't working, what am I missing here?

@kevin-stahl It's at the end of the video but I forgot to mention that I am running this version on a Win11 laptop:

For good measure, I verified that CC# are being sent using MidiView as well as MIDIBerry:

It works fine for me here on Win 11, same Elite version number, using a different controller and Bome MIDI Translator Pro.
You've verified the signal is being received from the pedal to the laptop. So, the problem is between loopMIDI and FX2. I haven't used MIDIberry before, but I'll download now and see what I come up with.

EDIT: I couldn't get anything to work with MIDIberry and loopMIDI, so something isn't right with one or both of those apps.

@wintersover Thank you so much for helping me.

So I downloaded the trial for Bome MIDI Translator Pro, installed it and set up a cursory test of it (it's pretty complicated for the novice like me, but I think I got it right?)

I recorded another video, again it appears to me that the MIDI output from the virtual port inside Bome is sending the CC# message to Bias FX2...

Here's a screenshot of the the quick program of button 1 that should turn on the Echotape on/off.:

Here's the Project ports I am using:

@kevin-stahl Yes, you'll use Bome MIDI Translator 1 and select that as the Active MIDI Input in FX 2.

Why do you need loopMIDI? I would close loopMIDI and let Bome do the work for you.

When you close loopMIDI and open Bome, does the Airtstep pedal show as an available input in the default MIDI port section of Bome?

@wintersover I disabled loopMidi and shut down the app, selected the AirStep Lite as the MIDI input in Bome and it looks like Bome sees the button presses as midi messages.

[Here's a video of what I did in this test removing loop MIDI, the app still doesn't "see" the MIDI being sent to it for some reason.
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dbOefs1HKE) You can see at the end of the video that Bias isn't seeing anything MIDI on any channels.

Here's the Bome MIDI screen again with the input being seen from the Airstep Lite:

@wintersover I forgot to ask above... are you using Bias FX2 in Standalone or are you using it as a VST?

I can use both, the controller works for CC changes in both.
I've messaged you privately, so we can try and resolve there.

@wintersover Thank you so much for helping me with this, it has forced me to revert to best practices when it comes to software.

I actually have made some headway this AM... I have done numerous reinstalls of the current version but I was wondering if there was some remnant of a previous release that didn't get overwritten, or corrupted the release. bolded textI completely uninstalled Bias FX2 and all my saved presets (!) in the Documents/Positive Grid/ folder.

After the completely clean install of the latest version, I used Bome MIDI and the commands, and when I use the Learn Button on Bias FX2's MIDI Assignment screen, it saw the CC#25 command. However, it was not toggling the pedal (?)

So I turned off the Bome MIDI and just set the Audio Settings to use the Airstep Lite IN device and VOILA! it is now working.

I know that the release previous to the current one broke PC MIDI messaging because the latest release notes expressly say they fixed it. I can only assume that something in that /Documents/Positive Grid folder was holding me back. Once again, thanks for steering me in the right direction and your patience for helping me troubleshoot this.

                        Video proof it's working!

Now to rebuild all my presets because OF COURSE I forgot to upload them to the cloud before did the fresh install. I saved off the directories but
