      Dear Positive Grid Team,

I have enjoyed a Spark 40 since the end of 2020 and I recently bought a Spark MINI. I have noticed a difference in the preset selection behavior in both devices: the Spark 40 makes a short pause when selecting presets (with the buttons on the amp and with the Airstep via bluetooth). This does not happen with the Spark MINI. The presets switch "smoothly".

It would be very welcome by all Spark 40 users if this improved behavior of the Spark MINI is replicated on the Spark 40. The Spark 40 is being used more and more in live or rehearsal setups, in which such a pause between presets is quite unpleasant.

Sorry for bringing this up, but the Spark MINI has made this issue more evident and would be a nice improvement for the live playability of the "big Spark brother". I hope that this can be fixed by a firmware upgrade for the Spark 40.

Thank you in advance for your help!
      Sergio

I’ve been a forum member for about a year now, joining shortly after I purchased my Spark 40. My observation is that forum monitoring by the Positive Grid Staff is spotty at best. If you have a specific question for PG Staff and want an answer, you pretty much have to open a ticket through Customer Support (the link is near the top-right of the webpage). Most of the responses to forum questions or requests for help comes from the members, often based on their own ticket responses or personal experiences.

            Hello all,

for you information, this is the answer by the Positive Grid customer support:

The main reason is relying on the hardware, so it is quite hard to improve it through a firmware update in Spark 40.

I've reported your feedback to our software engineering team. Hope they can find a way to improve it.

            Thank you for your patience.

I hope that a future firmware update will improve the preset switching behavior of the Spark 40.

            Regards,
            Sergio
