I have my backing tracks stored on my iPhone and can play them to the Spark MINI aux in - however, if I try to access iPhone Music through the Spark App, even though it shows my songs, it selects the originals from the web - I can't perform over the originals - is this a built in limitation for some reason?

With my Spark 40, I play songs/backing tracks from my iPad (or occasionally iPhone) directly from a music app over Bluetooth with no problems.

Don’t connect to Aux in, pair your iPhone via Bluetooth (Device = ‘Spark 40 Audio’ in my case), and launch your MP3 player app. Your mp3 should play through the Spark Speaker/Headphone Jack.

Should work the same with a Mini…

Note: If you’re using a Spark Controller, you’ll need to use ‘Split Screen’ to keep both apps ‘active’. If you don’t, then the Spark Controller drops it’s Bluetooth pairing when you switch to the music app.
