      Finally received my Spark Control. I have now spent a few hours over the last couple days of frustrating attempts to connect it to my Spark Amp. I have tried everything instructed to connect it to the Spark amp. I've updated my firmware on the amp. I've reset both the amp and the controller, as best I can tell. I've updated the app and have followed all instructions on the Positive Grid site to troubleshoot. I have a Galaxy S8+ running the app and the Bluetooth recognizes the Spark amp and the Spark control. After following all instructions in order and multiple times when trying to get the app to recognize the controller, I get "No Devices Found". 2 times during the process of going through all the steps my phone froze on me. My phone has never frozen on me in all the time I've had it. So, do I have a lemon?... a $109 paper weight? Is there a way to check the firmware on the Spark Control and if so, is there an update? Bueller? Bueller?? JK...Thanks everyone for any constructive help. Waiting for PG to respond as well to this. Signed, "No spark in this marriage"

        @gary_hutchings It appears you hope PG are having trouble given your other posts, but the sales suggest something rather different.

        I'm not suggesting they are getting the support right here, I don't think they are myself, especially for those running Android it seems. They need to get on top of the Android issues although I guess they have more hardware variables to deal with than with iOS.

        Having said that, it looks like the vast majority of units function as expected. That doesn't make it better for those who are having issues, but I know in person 6 people with Spark or Spark Mini amps, all functioning great and the numbers appearing here are very small relative to sales.

          I had the same problem with the Spark Control. I contacted customer support and was sent a replacement. It has been working so far.

            @gary_hutchings Massively changing my words and sentiment. Not cool man. I know you are pissed, but 'shooting the messenger' as it were won't solve anything.

            I didn't say they were getting things right (quite the opposite), I pointed out they aren't going bust as you claimed and why.

            I agree things should get better, and they do need to improve the customer support side of things. It would aid their growth if they did it. They are being what looks somewhat short sighted from the outside.

              @gary_hutchings said in Spark Controller:

              @broadkarnage ..."Well, it worked for me and a few others.. So if you got screwed, eehhh who cares"..

              That's what I mean about changing what I was about. Then you refer to me as an apologist.

              I comment on them getting it wrong but point out they aren't going bust despite getting their support wrong and that's apologising? How do you get to that with any logic??

              No connection with PG. I have worked in software support for a UK company before which is the experience that makes me think they are getting it wrong - certainly should be paying some attention to this forum. You correctly pointed out to that chap spamming he shouldn't be. That should be swept away if they were paying attention to things.

                @musofish2 I'm running a Galaxy S8+ also. The controller worked perfectly for the first month i have had it and suddenly wouldn't connect. After a month of back and forth with PG support with no solution I loaded the AirTurn (the company that actually manufactures the controller), app on my phone and it connected perfectly. The first thing that popped up was there was a firmware update to the controller. After asking PG support if it was okay to update they said yes. Now the controller works, BUT I have to connect to another Bluetooth signal and I get an error message on the Spark app. But i just click okay and it works perfectly. I believe there was an update or revision and the controller would no longer connect. And PG hasn't figured it out yet. Get the AirTurn app and connect and update the firmware and it will work.
