Live Performance Gitters

I have a IPad Pro and Bias FX2 software. I love the sound I get out of Bias FX, but I am leery as to whether I could count on it to use in a live gig.
Does anyone have experience doing so, and what are your observations? How did you interface with your gear. Is it simply a matter of sending the signal out from the iPad into your P.A. system?
I have done many gigs with my band, but I always use traditional hardware (Fender Hotrod Deluxe amp and pedalboard). But it would be a lot easier for me to bring an Ipad and guitar. Does anyone have experience switching over from traditional hardware for live gigs to a software based setup?
I also have an Irig HD 2 and a bunch of other user interfaces like the Scarlet 212 and the Steinberg 22c
Thank-you

@cal-difalco I've been trying for years to get a good live sound with this rig... thus far it's only ruined my reputation with peers :)
Don't expect PG to give you any input or insight- just PR. My best bet is to start from scratch with only BIAS and no effects, import it into FX2 (knowing it will drop off some of the volume and tone) and rebuild from there. It might be worth booking a couple of hours of studio rehearsal time if there's someone in your area and run it through a large PA. It's revealed the deficiencies but has helped some for my live sound to suck less ::)) Also I'd look at an FRFR amp or a high powered very clean rack amp
