I recently received my new amp, and I find that after playing along to music for about 30 minutes the sounds starts getting very choppy (ie - it drops out about every .5 seconds for about a half second). It doesn't matter if the phone is 1 foot from the amp or 15 feet from the amp. And it takes about 30 mins for it to start happening.

Any suggestions? Makes it impossible to use.

I got my Amp yesterday evening. After setup this morning the amp worked fine for a while but this afternoon after 20 seconds my guitar loose sound and it doesn't come back until I change a preset. Then it works for another 20 seconds or so and it's quiet again. As soon as I restart the amp and make contact with my iPad it might work for a while 2 or 3 songs and then suddenly it's quiet again, same problem. I removed the app, did a factory reset. did a bluetooth reset, reconnected but still the same problem.

Also for me it makes it impossible to use.

I did some more testing, even without the Spark App connected the sound disappears. I used the presets instead and after pushing for example 1 it works for a while and then suddenly it starts blinking again. Same goes for the other 3 presets. Software failure or hardware?

Given that it’s a day old, out of the box problem, I vote hardware worthy of immediate replacement.

@dan-lawrence Yeah I thought the same. Wonder if I can just return it. I bought it from Amazon Sweden so it should not be a problem.

@paul-meyer I had the Spark power cord plugged in an extension cord but now instead I have it direct plugged into the 220v wall outlet and now it has been working for a few hours without any sound loss. I have never experienced a device not working using an extension cord but here we are. But this seems to do the trick and I can use the Spark without any troubles.

@erwin-k I don’t own a Spark, but that sounds very weird. If that was the solution, I vote for a defective extension or not adequate contact between the power plugs.

@paul-meyer Now I understand what you mean. I have the same problem now where the sound disappears for half a second. So I solved one problem and now the next comes up. I don't want a third problem so this Spark is going back to Amazon. I don't want it anymore.
