Can I assign custom presets (not hardware presets) to the spark control buttons ? Why only 3 programmable scenarios ? It would be useful to have a scenario (up to 4 custom presets) per song that I play

Unfortunately, you can only select commands from the PositiveGrid Commands List provided on the Spark App. You’re limited to selecting Hardware Assigned Presets. I, too had expected that I could assign any Preset in the Spark App to any Switch Location. Sadly (frustratingly) this is not the case.

Yes, I was also under the impression that I would be able to programme the footswitch to be able to replicate a lot of the choices I previously used the Spark app to select. Only being able to select the hardware tones is incredibly limiting.
There are a few songs I like to play that have a rythmn tone and a lead tone. That's mainly what I bought the footswitch to do. Having to manually swap out the hardware tones for each song is actually more tedious than the pre-Control option of simply selecting the tones in the app.

On that front, is there an easy way to alter the order the tones in a particular genre? It helps to have the tones for each song next to each other. Currently I've been deleting blocks of tones and then reloading them in the order I want them on the app.

I really enjoy my Spark + app + Control but PG could have made it so much easier to use. There are so many limitation, many of which I feel we were lead to believe could be overcome with Control ("programme it to use Spark the way you want to use it"? Not even close)

Just another level of frustration of what could have been. If the promise of more innovation actually comes true we may (eventually) get there, but not just yet.

I also was looking to use different Presets for Rhythm and lead. I currently do that a couple ways. I keep my four main practice Presets assigned to the Spark 40 Hardware Presets. I have two ‘clean’ rhythm presets and two ‘glassy/crunch” lead presets. I use the Spark Control Scenario 1 to switch between rhythm and lead presets.

I’ve also been experimenting with using the Spark Controller Scenario 2, which allows you to turn on and off assigned pedals within the active Preset. I can turn on and off the Distortion or Fuzz to switch between rhythm and lead using one of my ‘glassy/crunch’ Hardware Presets (essentially what I do with my real amp and pedalboard).

Saving all kinds of presets, especially CUSTOM presets to the single switches on the Spark Control would have been my favorite function for the Spark Control. Hey, Positive Grid, please updaste the App and Firmware, make it possible, provide this feature and don't leave us disappointed. I believe you could and this feature would be one great argument more for your innovative concepts and a unique selling proposition.
