Pitch shift to transpose downtune / overtune
-
Can we have a pedal that will transpose the pitch? it seems that the current pitch shifter doesn't have any such functionality. The idea is that i dont need to downtune/overtune the guitar when for example i have to change from EADGBE to DGCFAD, i dont need to tune my string (especially floyd rose nightmare), but we have a pedal that do that seamlessly for me

What pedal do you use to shift tone? I’ve been using the AnyTune App in my iPad to adjust the song/backing track key for the exact same reason.

I have none, that's why i wonder if this is possible? the pitch shifter and other pitch shifting pedal currently available in bias FX has a fixed amount of downtune/overtune, and it's not like -24 to +24 semitones available as option either. I would wonder if they will create the capability of downtuning/overtuning using an effect pedal there so that i dont need to retune my string to lower the frequency and play heavier song

Thanks for the reply; misunderstood your last sentence.I had the same need for a couple songs I wanted to play. My solution was to change (raise) the key of the song/backing track to match Standard Tuning. There are a number of apps/programs that will accomplish this; I’m currently using AnyTune; however it’s not the only option available.
I can’t really detect any degradation in the song when adjusting from D or Eb Tuning into Standard Tuning. Added bonus is my practice playlist songs are now all in Standard Tuning. Disadvantage is you don’t get the same feel and resonance of actual de-tuned strings.
DigiTech has a Drop Tune Pitch-Shifter that will drop the whole guitar pitch from a half-step to a full octave. At $200+ it’s an expensive solution; however, could be the basis for your PG request…
