Is there any way to search on anything other than what people have named the models they've saved? If I find a user that knows what they are doing and creates good tones I'd like to be able to search by their username but it doesn't appear you are able to do that

You are correct. Occasionally some creators include their name as a ‘keyword’; which helps sometimes.

However I’ve found that even searching for a Preset when you know the exact name is frustrating in ToneCloud. I enter in an exact name of a Preset from a tutorial video, and end up scrolling down pages of Presets that appear to have no relation to the search entry. I have yet to unravel the Positive Grid search engine approach.

@scottmasiello i tag mine with #CMP and my patches' names start with CMP too. CMP == Country Member Productions and i'll eventually update my website ( countrymember.com) with the patches, links to them and a description and any new ones i create.

@peter-moore350 Thanks Peter. Appreciate the info. Just so you are aware the hashtag seems to mean nothing in ToneCloud. When I search on CMP under the TAG option I see your uploaded models. However, if I search on #CMP it comes back with 0 results

@scottmasiello aaaah thx. i'll remember to not mention # in future :-)
I hope you enjoyed the "CMP Ethereal ethereum" patch - one of my faves, for that genre anyway !

@scottmasiello if you want me to attempt to create a custom patch for you let me know.
My most recent one is "CMP The Hendrix" which i quite like. Between that and CMP Shoegaze i'm pretty much covered. I like the cleans in both.

Just FYI most of my guitars have dual humbuckers and so i created my patches mainly for those but i do have an Ibanez Pia which is HSH but the humbuckers on that in pos 1 (bridge) and 5 (neck) are not splittable in those positions so i cater for that too.
I recently bought a 2020 Squier Affinity in HSS and am very surprised about how good the build quality is and the sound is actually really good. I bought it as a project guitar but apart from the string trees i'm not changing a thing. The single coil at the neck shines through on both the patches i mentioned above which i'm really happy about.

Anyway, let me know if you want me to attempt a custom patch for you and i'll ask you a few questions etc etc
