From reading the posts I see that for some reason part of creating an amp model is setting and saving the master volume level. As most of you likely know that results in the volume blasting every time you change tones (which really sucks if you're wearing headphones) and the only way to regulate it is to jiggle the physical master volume on the spark itself. My question is - has anyone found any workarounds to stop this? I know you can go into each amp model and adjust the volume and resave it, but that is cumbersome and doesn't really address the problem. What happens when I'm home and want to play at low volume vs jamming with friends and want to play loud? Now I need to have 2 versions of all my presets at different volumes? Also, what if I want to play a song where it switches from clean to overdrive during the song? If I'm playing at low volume then switch to distortion and it's blasting or vice versa it's not really useable. I would think you could easily fix this issue by either adding an option when creating models in ToneCloud to default to the knob setting on the physical amp or eliminate including master volume as a setting altogether - I don't really see the reason for it in the first place. Just looking to see if anyone has come up with any creative strategies to combat this annoyance

I haven’t found a perfect solution. I think the real issue is everyone’s sound chain and individual setting are different.

I think I do pretty much what you described. I set my Spark 40 Output Volume to about 25%; that works best for my rig when practicing. If the Preset is too loud (or occasionally too soft), then I adjust the Preset Amp Gain and Master Volume levels to match my preferred playing volume. Occasionally I have to adjust a Boost/Distortion/Fuzz Level as it’s the real culprit; however I really try to avoid it. I save it as a new preset, and that’s what I use. I have plenty of Spark 40 Output Volume available to crank it up if I need to.

If I can’t tame a Preset at my practice Output Volume of 25%, I abandon it a worthless to me. The only time I have two versions of a Preset, is if it’s absolutely necessary to differentiate between my Strat and Les Paul. In most cases, I can use a single preset and adjust the guitar volume and tone to meet my needs.
