I got this amp as a gift, and after a few months of use all I can get out of it now is a very annoying HISS..
      Any help appreciated.

You might try setting your GAIN to about 10 o'clock, and your OUTPUT to about 2 o'clock. The settings depend on which Amp model you have assigned, but GAIN is the culprit, IMHO.
Also, the Noise Gate will cut some sounds. When I have mine on, I have the THRESHOLD slightly less than 9 o'clock and DECAY slightly more than 9 o'clock. No hiss at all.

I've had the same problem with a hiss when a note sustains with any gain involved. I contacted customer service and they said they would replace the amp with a "like new" amp, which they did. Unfortunately it seems worse on the replacement amp. I have to turn the noise gate settings up high to reduce or eliminate the hiss but this presents other problems. It's very frustrating.

Do you have battery powered boost or active pickups on the guitar? Are you using a cable or wireless connection in the signal chain?
