Cannot download anything from Tonecloud

Ah well, it seems to not be related to Windows builds only...
-
I have the same issue, Win 10 version 2.4.3.6250. This was happening a few days ago when the app wasn't updated to the latest release.

The Tonecloud is no longer working here in the UK! Does Positive Grid know about this? Are they fixing it?

Hi all,
I purchased the standard tier license for Bias FX 2 today but I have noticed that I cannot download any presets from the ToneCloud, whenever I go to download one it just says "an unknown error occurred".
I have tried restarting my PC and logging out then re-opening the program and logging back in but nothing seems to have worked.
Any advice is appreciated
Hello, I purchased the Elite for Windows 10 last night and have been trying to figure this out all day as well.. I think I may have found a work around... although it is less than ideal, I am now able to download tones by doing the following: Search for the tone you are looking for or wanting to try. Hover over the block that contains the tone that you wish to preview and click the three dots and choose detail, now VERY IMPORTANT. instead of trying to preview or downloading the preset, you have to click on the username of the person that created the tone, once you do that, then look in their list of presets for the tone you wanted... and now you can click preview or download and it should work ...It's a long way around, but I haven't had one fail to download since I started using this method.. Good Luck!
So basically,
- Search for a tone
- Click the three dots of the tone you wish to try and choose detail
- Once on the detail screen, do not press preview or download, Instead, you must click on the username of the person that created it.
- Now find the tone that you originally were looking for in their list of presets and you can either now click preview or click the three dots, choose detail and now download....
Once you do it a few times, it goes pretty quickly, hopefully they can fix it soon.

@jim-solovey Thank you so much! I just bought Bias FX2 and was so disappointed. You have made my day :)
-
@matt-wilson you are most welcome, I am glad it worked for you as well.. I am new to Bias FX in general and spent half the day trying to figure something out as I was really disappointed as well. Very happy it worked for you! Do you think I should post this "solution" in response to some of the other recent threads with the same issue?
-
@jim-solovey Wow, works just fine! thank you!
-
@dennis-seve You're welcome Dennis!
-
@jim-solovey Oh my god you're an absolute LEGEND thank you for this. For anyone else having this issue, his solution works!
Makes you wonder if there's some kind of issue with the software reading the full path to the preset?

That's brilliant! It sure gives further insights into how the software was built.

@jim-solovey Thank you very much Jim! :)

Just want to post again and say that I tried downloading the normal way again just to see if it would work and it seems to be working again now.
I will still be using @jim-solovey 's solution as well just in case
