Spark Amp Hardware/Firmware Issues

I’m relatively new to the Spark Amp and this forum, and have benefited greatly from the information and advice provided by other members. A lot of the problems and issues raised relate to hardware/firmware issues, particularly firmware updates. In the absence of quick PG Customer Support responses, members have stepped up to help others. I’ve jumped in a few times myself.
One thing that would greatly help is information on the actual setup used. Spark Firmware updates require either a PC or MacBook, and the App resides on either an iOS or Android phone or tablet. This information is missing from most forum help requests
I run on a PC-iPad setup. I can’t help if you’re having a MacBook or Android problem; however other members can. Unfortunately I’ve seen threads where helpful members have provided potential PC .exe or .bat file solutions only to discover that it’s a MacBook setup.
No one wants to have a “Brick” or see someone else with one. You may save yourself considerable time if you include a setup description in your requests…
