Latency when listening to the spark through my computer
-
Hi all,
I have a considerable latency when listening to the Spark amp through my computer. I connected the Spark amp to my computer via USB. I installed the driver from the help website here: https://help.positivegrid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039598451-Spark-Windows-ASIO-Driver-
Then I went into the sound menu. When the Spark is connected to my computer, I set my output device to my headphones. Then my input is set to the Spark amp. I then went to the record section of the sound menu, then went to the options menu of the spark amp, listening tab and then ticked the box that says "listen to this device" and set my output as the headphones.
Now, I can hear the input of my Spark through my computer to my headphones all right, no problem there. However, there's quite a considerable latency there. About 1-1,5 secs. Unplayable. I searched for some solutions and found for many people the latency issues were resolved by installing the driver mentioned above, but I already installed it and still have those latency issues.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

@bonesie85 make sure you have the asio setting down around 256 to start and the sound output is using asio not any other windows driver

thanks for the reply. When I open the positive grid asio and set the sample rate to 256, it doesn't change much. Not even setting it to 8 changes anything. It does, however, also say the asio is not active. Would you happen to know how to activate it?
