I noticed a number of people have had dead silence after updating the firmware. I had a rather different result where every preset and amp, with or without the app connected, is distorted. Clean channels now have a rough distortion to them. Metal channels are now so distorted they are stupidly muddy.

At this point, I'm wanting to see if I can revert to a previous version of firmware in hopes that might fix my problems. After browsing through the website I wasn't able to find any such resource to help out with that.

      My questions:

      • Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you fix it?
      • How would I go about getting a previous version?

Things I have tried so far include repeatedly updating the firmware. Properly ejecting the amp. Restoring factory settings. None of these have changed the overall outcome.

      Thanks in advance.

Ok, update. I have no idea why or how, but the problem went away completely. I'm using the exact same cables and guitar. All I did was turn the amp off, make some dinner, then decide to take another swing at it. I have no idea why it happened. I have no idea why it stopped.

I am so confused, but it works now, so I can live with that.

Edit: Ok, sorry to be all sorta spammy here, but just to keep a sort of public running log, I was having just the jolliest of good times playing around with the amp when the distortion came back. It doesn't necessarily sound bad, but if I had to describe it it sounds like a distortion effect gets stuck in the on position and doesn't change when I alter any other setting.

@gary_hutchings at least you are getting sound. I bricked mine when I installed the firmware update. It no longer works at all. I have contacted support and hope I can get a refund. Not happy with mine at all.
