Spark Control
-
If you haven't heard the news, Spark Control is coming soon!
It's a hands free, wireless control for your Spark Amp and App, plus it can do things like:
-
Switch between hardware presets
-
Speed up and slow down YouTube videos
-
Switch effects on/off
-
Play/pause music playback
A release date hasn't been confirmed, but it should be available late Nov or early December.
Let me know if you have any questions!!!

@caitlyn-mcguire yes, these pedals should be issued free to all of us that bought the spark in the very beginning and waited 10 months or more for it to arrive and hence vented our frustrations on this very board...
what do you think? -
Just ordered AIRSTEP for Spark by XSONIC last week.
It is already on the way.Damn
-
@rosario-spiezia I have the Airstep and it is good. One downside is you lose your App connection to control the amp. You can still play music, but it might take a few attempts to connect.
-
@crystalpit I hear you, and totally get your frustration. I know supply chain issues due to Covid were a huge reason for this (not an excuse, just the reality), but we still are taking the situation really seriously. You won't see any delays for Spark Control though!
-
@jonrdamesr You won't lose app connection with this control!

Hi @caitlyn-mcguire,
Could you please share all the specifications and features of this new product by Positive Grid and the differences with Xsonic Airstep?
Personally, at this point, I would like to consider whether to cancel the Airstep order and wait for your product or go ahead with it.
It would be really important not only for me but for the whole community that has been waiting for such a product since Spark was launched. For the future don't forget the possibility to integrate the looper functionality.
Anyway Spark is a great product -
@jonrdamesr,
Yes I know I lose the possibility to modify the tone with Spark App if I am connected with Airstep to the Spark, but the music streaming and the other features of the APP continues to work.
Now the fact is that of course an "official" Positive Grid remote control HW will have for sure many more possibilities of integration with the amplifier
Honestly I'm frustrated that I spent $100 a few days before the announcement -
Hey @rosario-spiezia ,
Here's what I know so far:
It’s fully compatible with the Spark App so you can control more functionalities that are only available in the app.
You’ll be able to switch presets and toggle guitar effects, but can also play and pause music playback, as well as fast forward, rewind, speed up or slow down YouTube videos that are being played in Spark App (something you can’t do with AirStep). Let me know if you have any other specific questions, but overall this will be more compatible with Spark than other products.
And we hear everyone about the looper. I don't have any info for looper in the future, but staying hopeful!

@caitlyn-mcguire I hear you, but I think PG should put their money where their mouth is and offer these units at least wholesale price or a generous discount , to the people that were affected.
-
@caitlyn-mcguire
Anyone know the price?I’ve delayed ordering an alternative since the announcement; however, price could be a deal breaker or a deal maker for getting the additional capabilities.
I’d also like to see a detailed explanation on how the app interface is controlled from within the app and/or the pedal.
The absence of an announced release date is also troubling. “Just in time for Christmas!” Is conspicuously absent.

@dan-lawrence Hey Dan!
Price is $109 and I'm working on gathering more details about how the interface is controlled from the product team (I don't have the product in hand yet so working on all of the details!)
As far as the release date, we really just don't know yet, not a marketing tactic. We're hoping for end of month, but there's a slight possibility it may not be until beginning of December, it all depends on how much time the manufacturer takes, but they haven't given us a definite timeline yet. We received a couple of versions that weren't 100% so we had to make those changes before a bigger production and release. As soon as we have a date, I'll let you all know here.
In the meantime if you'd like, you can sign-up to receive notifications about when sales will go live in your area. I have a Google form here: [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd-44Csk5hhtrQfPMrJPI-58-JyPN2aPAy9YM28K7uqUx48mQ/viewform?usp=sf_link](link url)
Let me know if anyone has any other questions and I'll do my best to answer it!

So the Spark Control is available right now - it was announced on the Spark Amp Lovers facebook page. I just happened to see it. So did PG just ignore this signup for notifications???

Hey everyone,
Just to recap some Spark Control info and give some insight on the product:
Spark Control, our new customizable smart foot controller for the Spark Amp and app.
Positive Grid believes you should be able to create music your way without barriers so we’ve designed Spark Control to be programmable to suit your needs, just like our other products.
It ships with four preset scenarios from the factory, which can be overwritten, and four additional locations to store your own custom scenarios.
Since it works with the Spark app directly, nearly every app function can be accessed by the pedals, such as preset switching, pedal on/off, and the ability to Start, Stop, Rewind and Fast Forward backing tracks and YouTube videos.
Future firmware and app updates will be developed with Spark Control in mind, plus, we'll be adding more features in the future based on your suggestions.
Its battery is designed to keep going for more than 4 months on a single charge, with 1 hour of average daily playtime.
Price is $109, and wanted to let everyone know here we'll be releasing it tomorrow. If you're subscribed to our emails, you'll get an email about it, but you'll see it on the site too. Just a heads up there are limited quantities, but this is just the first batch so more will be released over the months.
Let me know if anyone has any other questions!

@mike-8 Hi Mike,
We released Spark control 48 hours early for our Facebook community members as thank you. Since you're a member of that group and have the link you can purchase now (there's also nothing stopping you from sending it to friends, etc. honestly.)
The PG sign-up isn't ignored, if you signed up for that list, you'll get an email announcing its release to the public. There are still plenty of units after that pre-release, so if you haven't purchased yet, you're still good! I do suggest doing so ASAP though, as there are limited units for this initial release and we're not sure how fast we'll sell out/if we will sell out. Link's below if you guys want a head start. Hit me with any questions.

@caitlyn-mcguire
What’s the Order-to-ship time? My order has been in the “Ready to Ship” for several days now.I normally wouldn’t be concerned; however, I keep getting emails that I have one “in my cart” even though I can see the submitted order number “Ready to Ship” on the website. I ‘remove’ the item from my cart, and it shows up again the next day.
Is this phantom cart item delaying shipment of my real order???

@dan-lawrence Hi Dan,
All orders will be shipped Monday and estimated shipping time is about 3 business days!
