Why Do Chord Tabs Show Past Not Future in App?
-
I've been using the Spark amp and app for a few weeks. I like it, but there is one thing that I find really annoying, and maybe I'm missing something.
When playing there seems to be no way to see the upcoming chord tabs. I'm aware that in vertical mode it shows the upcoming chord key changes by name. But as a relative beginner, I want to look in advance at how to play the upcoming chords.
No matter how I try it always seems to show the current chord tab only once it's to be played - which is too late for me.
Why on earth would I want to have the screen space taken up with the chords ALREADY played (in gray) on the left, and only see the current chord when it's too late to prepare for it. I just cannot work out why it's designed this way. Why not just have the current chord being on the left and upcoming chord to the right, and then scroll just as it does?
Also, when in horizontal mode I can see the tabs, but there is no label as to what it is. Again as a beginner I'd like to learn as I go whether that chord was a G, C#m or whatever. I play piano so I can understand these things even though I'm new to guitar.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

@jonathan-stefanczyk As a beginner, I noticed this as well. In my opinion, whoever they got to develop the code in this part of the app didn't understand their instructions and obviously doesn't understand music. I think the active chord should be shown in the first slot (on the very left) and the next two slots should show the upcoming chords in sequence. This is just a "duh" thing that they could fix in the app very easily.

UPDATE: I realize now that only people with smart phones (smaller screens) will have this issue, as on anything with a larger screen, 5 chords are shown (the previous 2, the current, and next 2). So this is actually a case of not being tested on the smaller screen. Anyway, support has told me a fix is coming sometime in the future.
