      Hello,

I'm using the Meloaudio Commander with FX2 and have got it to select presets. Can anyone please tell me how to set up an expression pedal for volume please. Bear in mind that I am a complete numpty when it comes to midi! Thanks

@gary_hutchings Thats tough! I bought two of the Meloaudio expresion pedals when I bought the Commander. However, I can't even get one set up as a volume pedal! I've been into the custom HOST Setup Mode and set the CC instruction number to 7 which I have been lead to believe is the usual MIDI number for volume. I've tried to assign Bias FX2 to 7 and to learn. I rocked the expression pedal up and down but get the message saying that no MIDI was received. The Commander display seems to indicate 4 when I move the pedal giving 0-127. I set the number to 4 in the custom setup but still nothing received. Not sure what I am doing wrong as I'm completely new to MIDI.

@gary_hutchings Good luck is what we both need! It's pretty awful that we can't get the support that we, and many others, clearly need. I'm resonably happy with assigning presets to buttons on the Commander. I can't seem to find any further help. Have you used the Bias Facebook page? There's quite a bit on there: Positive Grid Bias Fx 1&2, Spark, Bias Amp 2/Pedal -Tones, Tips And Sharing
I'll continue to search for an Idiots Guide to MIDI as I'm way out of my comfort zone with this!

@anton-todd Thanks for the video! I'll try it! I notice that it shows a CC#4 for that pedal whether it is used for vol or Wah. I'll try tomorrow. :)

@anton-todd Hello Gary, Wow! The Melloaudio expression pedal works as a volume pedal now! It's a bit of a pain that you have to add it to each preset and assign it. But I can work through my presets and sort that. I have been a bit crazy with the number of presets that I have downloaded from the Tonecloud! I need to slim that down to a usable of my favourites!I'll hook up the other pedal as a Wah and see how that goes next! By the way, there are cheaper pedals that will do the same job providing you use the right TRS cable. (This comes with the Meloaudio pedal when you buy it) I'm impressed with the Meloaudio pedal as it's built like a tank! Very similar to the Commander. :)

@gary_hutchings I'll let you know how I get on with setting up the other pedal as a Wah. It should work! But who knows?!!!

@Gary_Hutchings Hello again Gary. Setting up the wah pedal was a breeze! I just plugged it in and hit assignment, learn and wah, wah, wah! The Meloaudio expression pedals are a bit expensive but as I mentioned really solid and very smooth in operation. The Nektar NX-P is a lot cheaper ( less than half the price) Reviews seem pretty good. There is also the Behringer FCV100 V2 which is the same at about half the price of the Meloaudio. I could only afford the Commander and the two pedals because I recently sold my Ibanez 8 string which was a nice guitar but not right for me. I'm only a bedroom strummer and I'm happy with my Epiphone Les Paul Custom and my PRS SE! Bias FX2 is the real icing on the cake and blows multiFX pedals into the dust! ( Especially combined with MIDI control) using a mouse to change presets was a real pain! I've got a Boss GT-1 which will go as soon as I get round to it. I hope you're getting somewhere. As you know it's always good when something new works AND works the way you want it to! Did you look at the Bias Facebook page? It's worth it as it's another way of getting help. There's a MIDI section to it.

@gary_hutchings It certainly is a learning curve! In my case just about a vertical curve!
