Setting up expression pedal with BIAS FX 2
-
I use Studio One on an M1 Mac. I have an expression pedal connected to the expression pedal input of one of my keyboards. Data from this pedal is being received by the DAW, and I can use the pedal with several VST instruments and effects.
However, BIAS FX 2 will not recognize ANY MIDI data by any of my midi controllers. It will "listen" for MIDI data for 5 seconds and then give me an error message that no MIDI data could be received.I am on version v2.4.1.6200
Any ideas?

@gary_hutchings cheers but this was on a fresh install - pretty much the first thing I tried. Also contacted support and they replied with the following:
"Instead of using MIDI assignment, please use "MIDI automation" in BIAS FX 2 in DAWs."
How did you assign the expression pedal to BiasFX 2? As I said in my earlier post, BiasFX 2 isn't just ignoring incoming MIDI from the expression pedal but from ANY Midi device I have hooked up to the Mac. The DAW, however, receives Midi input.
So please if you were able to configure an expression pedal in BiasFX 2, enlighten me.

@gary_hutchings thanks - as I stated earlier I did a fresh install (so it should be the most recent version) and not only is the expr pedal not being recognized - BIAS FX sees no midi input at all, be it notes I play on my keyboards or controllers I press/turn. The DAW, however, DOES receive input from all those.
