Spark Hendrix platform
-
I bought the spark way back and it took six months to get it, but I am extremely glad I did. I've done all updates including the new Hendrix platform. I I've found that from day one a person just needs to slow down and learn how it works, how to tweak, adjust to taste, and relax. What I mean is that if you use it as it was designed, you will find great tones. it's perfect for recording if you set it up right. Remember that all tones from the cloud are fairly basic, just tweak to taste. The Hendrix platform is fantastic, but again you must tweak and be patient. The rewards are there if you are willing to find them..

Good positive input. If you are using Spark hardware, and their software(Obviously), it should sound like Hendrix without much tweaking. If they charge $100 for the upgrade pack, and you have done the guitar match tech, you should be able to turn it on and have the Jimmy Hendrix guitar sound.
I agree that there is always tweaking, but the product is sold as "sound like Jimmy Hendrix", that base function shouldn't need tweaking to achieve. It is not going to make you play like Jimmy, obviously, not saying that.
I play out of my computer, and into my Fender Mustang V, so I wouldn't expect it to just sound like Hendrix "out of the box".
If I owned the Spark amp, I 100% would expect it to(After the guitar matching process)Don't get me wrong, I love this software, but I am also a life long software/hardware tech who loves blunt honesty.
Not arguing with your base premise, just adding a taste of reasonable expectation.
If the user does not have a stage worthy Guitar, they shouldn't expect miracles. The software is amazing, but everything has limitations.

Pro:
I think the fact you can get the Jimi pedals and amp is great, and was something I was looking forward to.Cons:
No x number of days trial to see if its any good or not. Would like to try before I buy.
Now I have pedals and amps scattered through the app that clutter it as I dont have a license to use them.I do think it is a great idea to have these packs but can only see me ending up with loads of unlicensed things I cant use.
