Create New Custom presets/tones
-
In the Spark application I can save existing tones/presets to a new named tone, and then edit the settings of that tone/preset. But How can I create a new tone/preset? I see the list of amps and effects, in the FAQ. How can I create a new tone/preset, and be able to select one of the amps, and one or many pedal effects?
Thanks
Joe

@jpitz31 Start with any tone you happen to have. Using the smartphone/table Spark40 app, double tap each effect and then scroll up/down through the possibilities in that column. Your sound through the amp will change as you change whichever effect is the large one showing on the screen. Move the controls around to find a sound you like. Move onto the next effect or amp in the chain. There's only one effect where there are not multiple pedals to choose from, and that's the Noise Gate -- my advice is to turn the left-hand knob all the way down and the right hand knob all the way up. If you don't want a particular type of effect in your chain, simply drag it up and the icon will darken. So if you want an echo but not reverb, turn the reverb pedal off. Again concerning the Noise Gate, it seems that it's best to have it enabled (don't turn it off) but don't turn the threshold up very far if at all.
The spark is a very good device to explore what different pedals can do and can't do, instead of spending thousands of dollars buying all the pedals and amps that it emulates.

@dhbailey Thanks so much for the info. I will try that.
