1.3.8 out today. Issue with buffersize not saved is still there!

I have a suspect now… looks like pg engineers are not able to fix it.
Which is a making sense explanation but a worse truth as well…

@emils Why are you changing your buffer on your mobile device?

@myxolydian because I have hard the difference between 48khz and 41khz. 48khz is waay better but
I hear crackling unless I raise the buffer to 512 at least on my iPad air3 at 48khz.
But tonite I went to gig with my band and after last update 1,3,8 it crankles anyhow and
it was not possibile to play with it.
I heard cranckling many times and this is horrible.
If you close and restart the app the problem disappears for 5 minutes or so but then it starts again to cranckle
This product is definitely not reliable for live gigs imho…
so now I think Ill Go for something more
            Serious like kemper or helix…;)

@emils You are mistaken if you think you can hear the difference between 44.1khz and 48khz in a live application. The difference in higher sample rates applies to recorded music only, as the sound gets processed after recording, and the more information the better.

In a live application, the sound is getting broadcast immediately, without much processing at all. No one in the audience can tell the difference between a sound they hear ay 44.1khz and one at 48khz, trust me.

A friend of mine explained it like this: "44.1kHz was chosen as CD sample rate. Human hearing is approximately between 20Hz and 20kHz and there is a theorem that says that the sampling frequency must be twice the maximum hearing frequency or, in our case, 40kHz or higher. Anything beyond that is most likely going to get lost in the live setup."

I hope this helps. You should not have to change sample rates on your mobile device for live applications.

@myxolydian maybe I did not explain it well. I agree with you I could not hear any difference from 41Khz to 48Khz in general. It is so for human physiological reasons. No discussion on this.
What I am actually saying is that some of my Bias FX 2 pacthes do sound different if played at 48 khz instead of 41 khz.
Try yourself with a patch I uploaded to tonecloud on an ipad. It's called 'Heavy Mesa Emils'.
If you play it at 48khz sound is 'thicker', darker, full of bass freq and present at the same time. At 41 khz it sucks. How is that??
So, this is another shitty thing about this software. Why does it change that way with just a freq change I should not be able to hear at all??

Anyhow have a thought about this : you have a gig at friday night with all your friends there and you're getting ready since months. You update BIas fx 2 mobile app just a couple of days before and the s... overwhelms you... good luck!!
