      Could anyone recommend any device or patches that is similar to a volume swell effect, or e bow sustain?

        @max-russell Well you could add a lot of compression to get long sustain making sure the noise gate is turned off. Stand in front of the amp so you get the natural feedback or even rest the headstock on the Spark itself. Or get an Ebow or add a sustainer circuit to your guitar.

            @ralfie-rudd impossible to use on individual strings other than the highest or lowest or just a few strings. There is a special "guitar bow" (can't remember the name) which is a small wedge shape item with horse-hair on both sides that can be used to rub against an individual string to get the violin-bow effect. I don't own one so I can't attest to how well it works, but I have seen it advertised.
