Standalone version - not launching on MacBook
-
Hi there
Sorry - can't find this covered elsewhere. I have Bias FX Elite. I've downloaded the standalone version. But when I try to launch the standalone version, all I get is the start up/loading screen but the app itself never opens up.
Works fine as a plug in with Garage Band - but I really just want to have to have it as a standalone and use for playing live.
Have tried uninstalling/ redownloading etc. And yes, it's definitely the standalone version.
Using a 2019 MacBook Pro - OS Catalina 10.15.7
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

OK - talking to myself, but in case anyone else experiences thisl.
Solved with help from support in two ways.
This is the official guidance fo r this issue
1). Rename the BIAS_FX2 folder in Documents/PositiveGrid to "BIAS_FX2 backup"
2). Delete BIAS FX2.settings at "username/Library/Application Support/PositiveGrid/BIAS FX2.settings"
*Please Click on the 'Go' menu in Finder while holding down [Option/Alt] to access the 'username/Library' folder

3). Make sure iCloud and any other cloud-based services are disabled for Documents & Desktop on your Mac

In the end - solved two ways..
- I created a separate user account on my Mac - and it worked with that.
2 Root cause was that I needed to give myself read/write permissions on my document folder. (not sure why I didn't have them)
