SPARK AMP 40 NO INPUT FROM GUITAR JUST HUM STATIC. after 2 hours of use?
-
I purchased the Spark amp through reverb through a business music store brand new still in box once it got to me, i turned it on played for an hour or two sounded great. I turn it back on only to hear nothing but static just aloud humm without the my guitar plugged into the jack. so i started troubleshooting tried everything updating firmware to factory reset different guitar cables and its not a ground issue casue mine came with a 3 prong cable .spent hours trying to trouble shoot the amp just a loud static with no input coming from guitar, And a buddy got the amp 2 months before me he told me about it told me to get one, but now hes experiencing the same issue as I am .. so i finally reached out to positive grid OMG! there response is in a slow timely manner theirs no other way to contact them but through email its frustrating. That tells you one thing only They don't give a damn all they care about is taking our money. I mean think about you pay over $300 for an amp you watch reviews of it and your excited to try it out. It gets to you you start jamming it sounds Great! but it breaks after a few hours of use its crazy how a company has this so many good reviews but they're customer service is horrible so many times I've tried asking to speak to the Lead in charge but to no success.I've described my issue sent them a video and Ive done research on my problem through forums and google search come to find out this problem is a known issue if its a known problem and positive grid knows about it why do they have to have there customers go through a hassle to even get someone to respond to you and when they do they take forever to respond.
And i don't think they will replace my unit also because it was bought through reverb one representative emailed me saying they'll honor it but now they're saying they wont cause its not purchased through them even though the Seller i bought it from gave me the original sales receipt of when he purchased it from positive grid.
there should be some type of a different type of warranty for this type hardware failure on there part very bad quality control maybe a few where shipped out with bad hardware internals maybe the solder joints aren't soldered correctly i don't know, don't want to open it up for the fear of voiding warranty.
Here's some few links of people with the same problem this is just quick searches but if you dig in more theirs people from different sites reporting this:
