Spark now shipping with grounded plugs
-
I was on the fence about ordering a Spark, mainly because I’ve never been an early adopter of new technology. I was concerned about the grounding issues I’ve seen so many people talk about, but I figured I’d bite the bullet and order one anyway.
Well my spark arrived last Saturday and whaddya know it shipped with a 3-prong plug. No hum, hooray! It seems PG has been listening after all.
Just for context, I ordered my Spark from Amazon. They had them in stock and it took 2 days to ship to me with Prime membership.
This seems like a better way to go, as opposed to ordering directly from PG, who obviously don’t have as tight of controls on their inventory as Amazon does. Or it could be that PG prioritizes Amazon for order fulfillment. Either way, if you’re on the fence about ordering one because of shipping delays and the grounding issue, just order from Amazon. That way you can verify they’re in stock before you order, and you can be confident you’ll get one with a grounded plug without having to spend anything extra. Plus, if I have any problems with the amp in the first month or so, I know Amazon will be easy to deal with on a return or replacement.
